Black Widow Research - Did you know that web silk from a Black Widow spider can be used to increase the durability of car tires, seatbelts and bullet-proof vests? Today on Insight, you'll meet a local professor who just received a grant to continue his research on the subject.
Yosemite in Summer - All of the storms during the last few months have produced plenty of snow to melt in Yosemite, and that means the park should be particularly wonderful to visit this spring and summer. Pete Devine, education coordinator at Yosemite Association, knows an awful lot about Yosemite after spending about 25 years working there. He'll tell you about some of the things to expect this summer.
Arlo Guthrie - Arlo Guthrie is in town with much of his family and tonight he's at the Mondavi Center playing songs by his famous father, Woody Guthrie. Jeffrey Callison hosted a forum yesterday at the Mondavi Center with Arlo Guthrie and they talked about when he was a boy, Woody's life and music and the impact he still has on American society.
Sound Advice: Off Air - It's Thursday and time for our weekly music segment Sound Advice. This week, "Off Air" host Nick Brunner introduces you to new indie rock and pop, as well as a new comedic offering from Keith Lowell Jensen.
